Amy has been a performer and a gymnast since she was very young starting with gymnastics and then dancing with the Panthers Junior Performing Troupe. Amy has trained as a dancer and a state level Gymnast in and around various areas of Sydney’s Greater West as well as in Sydney’s CBD. Amy is a Director of Dance Avenue and has a real passion for all sports and really enjoys any activity where learning and fitness are combined. Amy has completed her Bachelor of Arts (Pathway to Primary Teaching) at the University of Western Sydney and is currently studying her Masters of Primary Teaching with UWS. Amy has found her real passion is teaching all ages and abilities and she really enjoys watching students grow as performers and seeing improvements in their skills. Amy is an Accredited Level 1 Acrobatics Coach through Gymnastics Australia and has also obtained her Senior First Aid certificate through St John’s First Aid. Amy has and continues to attend Glenn Woods annual teacher’s workshop to further her involvement with the Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus. Amy was a performer in and choreographed for Fiona Fields’ “Dance Sitting Down” video clip and she has also choreographed and performed for the NBL Razorback Cheerleading Team in 2007. Amy was also a performer in Town Hall Steps’ “Disco” video clip and she was also chosen for an acrobatic role in the musical “Carousel”. |
