WELCOME BACK TO TERM 4Welcome back to all our students returning after the holidays and to our new families to Dance Avenue. Together we can work hard and encourage each other to achieve their best. Please finish the year well and we know you will do your very best to present a fantastic concert to the families and friends of Dance Avenue. CONCERT TICKETSConcert tickets are selling fast. Please purchase your tickets as soon as possible so you will not be dissappointed. Bring along family and friends for a great night of entertainment. Concert ticket sales are on the following dates: Wednesday 19th October 4.00 – 8.00pm Saturday 22nd October 9.00 – 12.00pm Wednesday 26th October 4.00 – 8.00pm Concert ticket prices are as follows: Adult $30 Pensioner $20 Student $15 (under 16) No ticket required for a child under 5 that is sitting on a parents lap. CONCERT PERMISSION NOTESIf you have not yet completed a Concert Permission Note as of Wednesday 26th October then unfortunately your child will not be able to perform in this year’s concert. Notes are at the front counter, so please make sure this is completed so your child is not disappointed.
CONCERT COSTUMESWe have started our costume orders for the concert. This is an arduous task. Please be aware that costume deposits are required prior to any costume being made for your child. It takes time to prepare designs, liase with dressmakers, prepare samples & fittings so please ensure they are completed. Invoicing is currently being finalised and will be completed within the next couple of weeks. All costumes will need to be paid in full prior to distribution so please be prompt with payment. Costumes will be ready for collection the week commencing 28th November. All costumes are to be collected by Saturday 3rd December. If costumes are not paid for and collected by this date your child will not be included in photo day. CONCERT T-SHIRT ORDERSThank you to all the families who have already ordered their child’s concert T-Shirt. Our first order has been forwarded to the screen printer to enable delivery prior to the concert. However, we are holding second round orders till Saturday 22nd October. We are pushing the distrubutor to have the second lot of T-shirts completed prior to the concert. Please note that the T-Shirts are not compulsary but they are a rememberance of the concert, especially this one as it is our 5th year anniversary. PARENT HELPERS AT THE CONCERTThank you to the parents who have nominated themselves to help at this year’s concert. If you would like to help & have still not completed a form, please do so as soon as possible. Please note that parents are not permitted into the concert auditorium without a ticket. TINY TOTS/BABIES CONCERT NEWSAs this year’s concert tickets have been so popular, the teachers at Dance Avenue have decided to put the Babies/Tiny Tots class on to perform on both Friday & Saturday night. We originally had them coming on Saturday night only but many parents have not yet purchased tickets & will miss out on seeing their child perform. We would like the babies/tiny tots to be enjoyed by all as they are very entertaining and it is a great experience for them. A note will be given out in class with further details. If this is not an option for you please let us know at the front desk as soon as possible. PHOTO DAYThis year photo day is on Sunday 4th December. A timetable will be issued to all students and parents closer to the date. Prices for photos will be displayed on the notice board so please put aside the money to purchase a momentum of your childs dancing. CONCERT REHEARSAL DAYThe concert rehearsal this year is on the day before the concert, Thursday 15th December. This will enable our dancers to be fresh for our celebration concert. A note will be forthcoming regarding times that students are required to attend. This will be available closer to the concert date. CONCERT CANTEENA canteen will be operating on Concert Rehearsal Day as well as the Concert. We will be serving hot food, drinks and snacks. CONGRATULATIONSWe have had many girls enter eisteddfods recently with some great results. Well done to all that participated and special congratulations to those that placed. Well done to all!
ACCOUNTSThank you to the parents that have already paid their fees for this term. This is a hectic term with costumes, so please have payments made by the due date.
CONCERT DVD’SOrder forms for Concert DVD’s will be available shortly. Cost is $50.
PROJECT DANCEWe are performing our first dance for ProjectDance. This is a Gala evening on Friday 21st October. It is at the Sutherland Entertainment Centre, tickets are $25 per head. Please see front reception if you would like to attend. The calibre of dancing will be incredible, so come along to a great night of entertainment. DATES FOR YOUR CALENDAR
